eBay Bucks is a rewards program that lets you earn eBay Bucks on qualifying purchases. You can redeem them when you make future eBay purchases—and continue earning while using your eBay Bucks certificate. There's no cost for signing up or for using eBay Bucks.
This program is being rolled out in phases, starting with a small group of invited participants. We hope to open enrollment to a wider group in the future.

How to sign up
Open your invitation to the eBay Bucks program, and click the Sign me up link.
On the eBay Bucks page, click I agree after reading the terms and conditions.
On the confirmation page, click the Start Shopping button.
Once you're enrolled, look for the eBay Bucks icon on items, shop as you already do, and pay for your purchases with PayPal. Most eBay items are eligible with a few exceptions, such as real estate and vehicles. We’ll track how many eBay Bucks you earn. Each eBay Buck represents a dollar that you can spend.
How to get and use your eBay Bucks
Every 3 months, we’ll tally up all the eBay Bucks you’ve earned and give you an eBay Bucks certificate for that amount. Your eBay Bucks certificate is good for 30 days. You have one month to redeem and spend your certificate on eBay.
To see your balance and find out when you'll get your bucks, go to the eBay Bucks section in My eBay.
Note: eBay Bucks certificates are awarded quarterly (every 3 months) based on calendar months, not every 3 months from the date you sign up. If you sign up in February, for example, you'll earn eBay Bucks starting immediately. They'll keep accumulating until the next date we send out certificates (April in this example), and then you'll have 30 calendar days to spend your bucks.
To redeem your eBay Bucks certificate, follow these steps:Go to eBay.com and log in with the user ID you used to sign up for eBay Bucks.
Start shopping on eBay. Choose something with a value close to that of your eBay Bucks, and make sure the seller accepts PayPal.
Pay for your item with PayPal before the expiration date on your eBay Bucks certificate. During checkout on eBay, your eBay Bucks certificate will appear. If you don’t want to use eBay Bucks for a purchase, click the Remove link.
If, for some reason, the certificate doesn't appear during checkout, go to the eBay Bucks section in My eBay, copy the code, then paste it into the redemption box during checkout. Get more info on using eBay Bucks.

In some cases, the certificate won't appear during checkout. For instance, the certificate amount may not appear if the seller is using a third-party checkout system. But you can still redeem your eBay Bucks certificate. Here's how:
Visit your eBay Bucks section in My eBay.
Copy your eBay Bucks certificate code.
After you log in to PayPal, paste that code in the redemption box.
You may have to click the Enter gift certificate, reward, or discount link first to access the redemption box in PayPal. Get more info on using eBay Bucks.
Be aware that your eBay Bucks certificate will expire on the 31st day after it's issued. You can't transfer your eBay Bucks certificate to someone else, and you can't combine eBay Bucks earned on multiple accounts. However, if you have multiple eBay accounts, each account may be eligible to earn eBay Bucks.
Bonus bucks offers
In some cases, buyers can earn eBay bucks even faster with Bucks bonus offers. For example, during promotions, buyers can earn double Bucks on every eligible purchase. When bonus offers are available, buyers will be able to keep track of them in a section of the eBay Bucks summary page in My eBay. And they'll see information about bonus offers when they view and purchase items that qualify for these promotions.
Leaving the eBay Bucks program
If you decide to leave the eBay Bucks program, go to the eBay Bucks section in My eBay and click the unenroll from eBay Bucks link. You can always join again in the future, but any unspent eBay Bucks you have will be forfeited when you leave the program.
Re-enrolling in eBay Bucks
You can enroll in eBay Bucks again any time after you've left the program. The eBay Bucks you accumulated before you un-enrolled will no longer be available, but you'll start earning eBay Bucks again as soon as you sign up.
