I hated giving up my Cusinart that was at least 35 years old, but the cost of replacing all the finally broken acrylic work bowl components didn't seem worth it considering the risk that the motor would then finally expire, so I bought this new one as much like the old one as I could find. Trouble is, the little white plastic piece inside the locking mechanism in the lid looks like planned obsolescence. I'm wondering just how long it will last before breaking. It is under stress each time the lid is closed and we all know about "little plastic pieces" right? I'd feel better if they actually included at least 6 replacements with a new machine. Anyway, I'll cross my fingers and hope I'm wrong. Otherwise, I assume I'll like this machine just fine.

Not sure why they designed the bowl so that the feed tube is in the back of the machine - OR if you want the feed tube in the front, then the on/off/pulse buttons are in the back! WHAT? WHY? This is not as durable as I had hoped either, though I love the 14 cup bowl.

If you love to cook or entertain, and presentation is important to you, this is your machine. For years, I used a cheaper machine and it worked well, but the old saying, "You Get What You Pay For", is true in kitchen gadgets. Well, my old one finally got to be more trouble than help, and I retired it. Shopping for a replacement, I found this machine but thought it just too expensive. In a strange turn of fate, we went to several "Garage Sales" last month and found this exact machine (new in the box) at one marked $10! These were elderly people who had probably received it as a gift, but had no use for anything this large. I have used this machine several times now and it is truly as easy to use ad their advertisement claims. The functions all perform per statement. This machine is a gem. It disassembles easily and clean-up is a breeze. If you need a larger capacity processor, or even if you cater, this is your machine.Read full review
I bought this to replace a smaller Cuisinart Food processor that broke after many years of frequent use. This new one is even better mostly in the size of the bowl (14 cups). It has performed very well and I am confident that, being a Cuisinart, it will give me many years of "making it easier in the kitchen". I am very pleased with this purchase.

I keep this out on my counter, but not plugged in, so it is always convenient to use. The attachments fit compactly nearby. The blades are super sharp, so care is needed when inserting or removing/cleaning, but that also makes them perfect for a quick job. The pulse bar and on buttons are right in front, easy to access so that I always feel I am in control of the machine. Clean-up is easy, usually just a thorough rinse under the faucet, a quick wipe with a dish towel, and everything is put back in place ready to go next time I need it. I love it and Cuisinart quality is always a good thing!
