Oh my, just received the Shark Rotator Professional Upright Vacuum and already love it, it's powerful and more quiet than any vacuum I have ever owned, this vacuum picked up tons of dust you would not believe how much is left by other vacuums, I believe this one sucked up all the remaining dust left by my other vacuums. It is easy to manuever around tight corners of furniture and corners of walls. I have been wanting a Dyson vacuum for too long but when I saw the reviews for this Shark vacuum I was impressed so I thought I would gamble on this NV400 model and boy I am glad I did I am impressed by it's performance, I even like the crevice and furniture cleaning tools, they are nice and big and long, longer and bigger than other vacuums, and the best part of this vacuum is it cleans faster so you get your cleaning done sooner, I am sold on the Shark brand now and will tell friends and family about this vacuum and would recommend it to you too.Read full review

Great vacuum for the price Reliable, easy to use quieter than most vacuums and is lightweight. It really has great suction and if you keep your filters clean under the canister, it will perform like new over and over. This is my second one of these in a few years as my on and off switch quit working but that was my husbands strong hands pushing the on button down too hard. He can no longer use it (just kidding) The tools are handing and the only draw back I see on this is once you pull out and use the extension hose, it does not recoil all the way and you have a bit of excess hanging instead of being tight like when you 1st get it.

I purchased this after seeing the results of my nieces' carpet & floor, who basically lives in the same environments I do - which is far away from concrete and asphalt, with lots of open spaces filled with cattle, mud, dirt, and grandchildren. I was absolutely amazed at how clean my carpet & flooring was after the 1st use!! Finally - a vacuum that PERFORMS the way it's advertised!! It's affordable (unlike the D**** competitor!), there's no dust flying around, easy to assemble, and for a work horse - it's lightweight & maneuvers around furniture great!!! it was quick and easy to put together, very light and easy to use. We have 2 dogs and they shed about a small dog worth of fur a day (beige carpet and black dogs don't go together well). I thought my old vacuum was doing quite well until I got the shark. It picks up more and more fur off the carpet that the old one had just pushed deeper into the pile, after 2 weeks I can now see a noticeable difference in the carpet, the color is more even and feels softer. The only bad thing is the roller brush does tend to grab longer hairs and fur and hold on to them so I have to cut and clean each time before I use it, but I doubt that this would be a problem in a pet free house. It also has the best suction of any vacuum cleaner I have ever used, nothing has ever gotten stuck in the hose yet.

It's VERY easy to use, but doesn't have strong suction. I bought mine refurbished, but it was obviously cleaned out very well, so I figured that shouldn't be a problem....but yeah. Kind of disappointed.
