Manage your collection

Using the My Collection tool you can now organize, track, and manage your collectible card games, sports and non-sport trading cards collections.

You’ll find the My Collection tool under My eBay on desktop and in the latest version of the eBay app on iOS and Android. My Collection is not available on mobile web and some methods of adding cards are exclusive to the eBay app or desktop.

Adding cards to My Collection

Here’s how to start your collection:

  1. Go to My eBay and select My Collection.
  2. Select the + Add item button to add items to your collection.

On both the eBay app and desktop, you can add items manually, from the eBay catalog, or based on past purchases. On desktop, you can also upload your collection in bulk using a CSV file. See our Upload your collection article for more information on uploading your collection in bulk.

Here’s how to add cards to your collection using the eBay catalog:

  1. Following the above steps to start your collection, select Add using the eBay catalog.
  2. Select Sports or Card games to search for cards in either category.
  3. Type relevant search terms into the search field such as “Pokemon,” “Pikachu,” etc.
  4. Look through the card options, select More details as needed.
  5. Select Add to add the card to your collection.
  6. A banner will appear to confirm your card was added, select See it to view your card as it now appears in your collection.

On the eBay app, you can also add items to your collection using image scan. Here’s how to add cards to your collection using image scan:

  1. Following the above steps to start your collection, select Add using image scan.
  2. Take a photo of your card or add it directly from your photo library.
  3. After adding your first card, either:
    • Tap on the accordion at the bottom right to review your scanned item
    • Or continue adding cards one at a time
  4. Once done, review the details of your scanned item and modify details as needed.
  5. Select Add to My Collection to complete the process or select Continue scanning to add more cards.
  6. Your card should now be visible on the My Collection hub under the Summary tab.
    • If you’re not immediately seeing the card, refresh the page by pulling down on the screen
  7. Tap on a card to view details, add a note, view stats, create a listing and more.

Tip
You can add a maximum of 5,000 items to your collection and purchases made within the last year may have been added to your collection.

Editing and deleting items from My Collection

Here’s how to edit or delete items from your collection:

  1. Select the item to open the item view page.
  2. Select the 3 dots button.
  3. Select the action to Edit item or Delete item.

From the Summary page on desktop, you can also delete items by selecting the checkbox below your card and selecting Delete from collection.

Tip
Items sold from your collection will be automatically archived, whereas items sold from outside your collection will need to be manually archived.

Listing and pricing items in My Collection

To list an item from your collection, simply select the item you’d like to list and select the Create listing button from the item view page.

To help with pricing your listing, on this same page you can also view detailed market data such as:

  • Median sold price
  • Sales format
  • Sold price range
  • Number of sellers, listings and sold listings
  • Recent listings which have already sold, including their date of sale and sold price

This information is based on the past 90 days of market data, but you can also toggle to the past month and week if needed or view data for an individual day by hovering over the graph.

Pricing is updated on a daily basis and when a new item is added. If you don't see your pricing update, swipe down in the app or refresh the page on desktop. Close out of the app and re-open if pricing is still not refreshing.

Tip
The price we recommend for your card is based on previous sales of the card on eBay. We don't take into account irrelevant or inaccurately described listings and we exclude unpaid items.

After creating your listing, you’ll be able to Preview it, Save for later, or List it. If you Save for later, you can find your listing under Drafts in the Listings section of the Seller Hub.

Use the My Collection tool to manage your trading cards collections directly from the desktop and the eBay app.
