Seller was responsive and shipped in a timely manner. Seller was good to "deal with" transactionally. The item itself is of little - no use. The 1/8" tape groove was not flat at the bottom of the groove (surface the tape lays on during cutting and splicing), and it was not quite wide enough. This caused the tape to bow in the channel which made accurate / straight splices difficult at best. The wood block is too soft, and the razor and tape both sank into the wood causing poor cut lines.

The splicing block is made very sloppily. The wood is not sanded, a splinter dug into my finger. All the gaps are of different widths and depths, it is impossible to evenly fix the tape and leader inside the groove. An inconvenient, cumbersome and dangerous thing. I was happy to return to my old block from Realistic.
