    I wear kilts daily. This type of plain sporran is nice and lasts over 2 years. I have problems with the two hooks and leather connecting piece the hooks are week. I have found an easy solution, a split key ring. I replaced the hooks and leather strip with the split key ring. This solution does shorten the belt/chain length, but is more secure as long as the key ring does not get bent, but they came in a ten pack. I have only replaced one split key ring in 5 years of using this type of sporran.
