And these are sealed and submersible which the old ones weren't (dumb for original equipment on a boat trailer). These TecNiq lights have two leads - white is negative, black is positive - so if you are replacing stud-mounted single wire lights (where the negative is passed from the frame to the stud), you have to make sure the white wire touches the trailer frame somewhere.
