    Replacement handle endcap for electric GE stove/range

    Unfortunately, after approximately twenty years of use the handle on our oven door broke off. The two heavy plastic endcaps broke. Fortunately, finding the replacements here allowed my husband to replace the broken handle. He had one problem. One of the screws did not go in all the way when he tried to screw it in. He had to go to a local appliance dealer to find a usable replacement since the stove was twenty years old. I would still recommend this product as the screw is a separate piece. This was the most reasonable priced repair.

    Fits, functions, original design by manufacturer is poor.

    It fits. It works. It faithfully retains the design flaw that caused the original one to break. Look at the inside of the end cap...see those skinny plastic towers that receive the through bolt from the door ? Well, actually you might not see them as they are what break off. Look on the floor, they might be there. This should have been designed as a solid block except for the slot that receives the handle. Pennies saved by the manufacturer, dollars spent by the consumer.
