Best Neck Sizing Die @ Best Price Point
The mandrel on my Lee .223 Remington collet neck sizing die measured .221 inch. After correctly setting up the Lee collet die it sizes my .223 REM brass to .222 in. inside neck diameter giving me a consistent and concentric .002 in. bullet neck tension. I do not crimp and find this tension amount to be sufficient and accurate even with semi-autos. NOTE, sizing can vary according to the amount of spring back your brass has. I was using once fired ADI brass. I found the collet/mandrel design of the Lee die to be better that most more expensive dies using ring sizing. Assembling cartridges I use a chamber type bullet seater and always achieve less than .002 in. bullet run-out with Lee collet sized brass. This method works so well, I don't even bother to measure bullet concentricity ... The mandrel on my Lee .223 Remington collet neck sizing die measured .221 inch. Before using the Lee collet die I do recommend to disassembly, clean, polish any rough finish if necessary and reassemble using a good high pressure grease. No polishing was needed on my die but you should inspect them just in case. I highly recommend the Lee collet dies for neck sizing brass. No need to spend 2-3 times more for lesser results. No need for case lube is another plus.

Fantastic design!
This die is ingenious. Due to the collet squeezing the neck of the case around a precision turned mandrel, the inside diameter of the sized neck is perfectly round. It does not rely on an expander to open up the case neck to the proper diameter, so there is less chance of pulling the neck out of alignment and the brass is work hardened much less. Bushing dies also work the brass much less, but if you're not turning case necks then you're making the outside of the neck perfectly round and pushing all the imperfections of the neck wall thickness to the inside of the case mouth. My point in this paragraph is that if you're seeking the most concentric ammo possible, but not willing to turn case necks, you should strongly consider the collet neck die. It's designed exactly for you and it works ... This die is ingenious. Adjustable sizing makes it a winner
Because this Lee collet neck sizing die is adjustable, I'm able to tailor the amount of resizing done to my brass to my needs. I use a Lee press and with the addition of their breech lock quick change locking bushing, so I can set it and forget it. This die also makes custom setting your bullets just off the lands easy as you can set the resize of the neck to just enough tension that you can chamber an uncharged bullet and the force of closing the bolt will push the bullet into the case giving you the exact length of your rifle's chamber.Because this Lee collet neck sizing die is adjustable, I'm able to tailor the amount of resizing done to my brass to my needs. A MUST HAVE
If you reload for a particular rifle, you need one of these. It allows you to just size the neck area which allows you to get a lot more reloads out of a case. Also, you don't need to lube the neck like you have to with other brand sizing dies. The best thing is IT WORKS GREAT! I should have bought one of these two years ago.
