I took a heavy duty hammer and knocked it back out after about 30 strikes. I'm not sure how that happened, but someone hit that thing very very hard during transit. these things are heavy and cast iron and made very very well. I've bought several of them in the past. The only problem i've ever had is cleaning up all the Styrofoam. It works fine, but wish it wasn't damaged
