I can't tell if it's actually stobing as my PL 50 doesn't have a platter with different speed gauges for RPMs 45 and 33 1/3 on the side. I guess this is also irrelevant because there isn't a speed control on the unit either. To my ear, the turntable is playing at the correct speed and the light makes it look cool.
