It appeared to be new as stated in the add. Though there was some confusion at first, PNKMonky was helpful and even offered to take the motor back. The original motor was no longer produced, but Amana said this one would work. It does work and the motor is functioning well and tumbling the clothes in the dryer as we speak. Thank you PNK!
