    FIXED SLOW WATER FLOW

    This was exactly what I needed to fix slow water flow after replacing the filter on my Westinghouse fridge. It fit perfectly. I tried to repair the bad one but that was hopeless. Repair parts are not available. Save yourself some time and much trouble by buying this new housing. Google some sites to tell you how to REPLACE, not repair, the housing. Good luck.

    Perfect Replcement

    The filter housing was a perfect fit for my older Kenmore Coldspot fridge. After some of the internals failed on the precious one, this piece saved me a lot of money and a lot of headache rather than just calling a plumber. Word to the wise the hose connections are difficult, but can be easily removed, but you must depress the gray plastic piece that surrounds it. I had the easiest time doing this with a 3/8” open wrench. Good luck!

    Affordable replacement housing

    Well; the appliance guys said they don't make house calls due to the Covid 19 orders. So with the magic of You Tube we handled it on our own. They sell a genuine Whilpool replacement part at 40% less. Good deal. I would also recommend ordering some water line ferrules as they can get chewed up on the water line disconnect. I just saved a $120 service call.

    Fixed filter no flow and filter poor fit issues.

    Fixed my issue with filters no longer staying in. At first I was blaming the filters, thinking maybe Whirlpool purposely changed the design to make it not fit in order fridges. I then tried several 3rd party filters and they all would pop out or give no flow. That's when I realized the fridge was the issue. It wasn't terribly difficult to replace the holder, but it helps to watcha YouTube video or two.

    Problem solved

    The water dispenser was making an awful noise and water was just trickling out of it. I replaced the filter cartridge but that didn't make any difference. Next, I replaced the inlet valve but that didn't work either. This was my last resort and it took care of the problem. Should have started here!
