This pair in particular was manufactured extremely well; they are weighted just the right amount, and have the perfect "Chut" sound for Boleros and up-tempo Salsa, cutting through the dense mix of a large group. The smaller handle diameter makes these maracas exceptionally comfortable to play, as the player's fulcrum is at the base of the rawhide rather than the handle.
