For a heavy metal it is surprisingly benign and it's the active ingredient in Pepto Bismal. It's atomic weight is 209, and it's very dense. Since it levitates in a magnetic field there's interest in its use in magnetic levitation as would be employed levitating monorail trains. The price is close to the market price, with free shipping it's a good deal. One of the few metals you can melt in a steel pan stovetop
