There are plenty of mechanisms that state they are 12888 compatible, but do not appear to be identical. This one stated genuine Young Town. I was concerned when the unit i received didn't actually have the 'Young Town' name molded in. But the hand-mounting arrangement is identical, and my original hands fit fine.
