    Very powerful. Bought the bare tool because I already had a 60v chainsaw and already had batteries and a charger. I will say that the head on the string trimmer is extremely loud and am not sure if this one is a defect but its louder than my table saw while I am cutting wood(very high pitched gear type of sound). The neighbor even came out to see what I was doing and said it was abnormally loud. We'll see how it holds up. Otherwise, it was new and it great condition when received.

    I bought this just to use it for edging....

    I bought this just to use it for edging. For that it is acceptable. I have the DCST970 and it is noticeably powerful and durable. I like the 972 for the attachments that I will occasionally use but will keep the 970 for the hours of string trimming.

    best weed eater ever

    has the power to cut thru the toughest grass! and battery life actually last! is expensive but we’ll worth it!! I suggest looking for used ones first, will save you a little money but worth it! we own many weed eaters, by other manufacturers but this one has the power!!! don’t love the no wheel but i still prefer this one over any other!

    Nice product

    Works really well. I have an older gas model that I will be replacing with this one. The convenience of being able to just pull the trigger as opposed to messing with the gas mix and then fighting to get it started made me a fan of battery tools!
