    Great deal after a little TLC.

    I've been using Whirlwind products for decades and found them to be rock solid. So when I purchased this unit I expected it to work out of the box....even though in the description it said "tested and working" . Unfortunately it wasn't...but I had a spare so not big deal. Upon taking it apart and inspecting the interior I saw nothing that was obviously wrong with it. After poking around and retesting it, the DI was passing signal but it was diminished and kind of intermittent. With so few parts the only really bad thing that could be happening was a bad transformer. Luckily that wasn't the case. It was actually a solder joint that had gone bad or cold as they say. A couple of touch up solder joints and I was back in business. For the price I paid for it I really didn't mind having to give ...

    Whirlwind goodness

    My band has used several of these to install direct outs in cabinets that do not have them as well as tapping into stage monitor systems to allow us to use IEMs. Quiet, rugged, reliable. Can't go wrong!!!!!
