I set it for 1100 degrees, which I assumed was F. Nope, it was C, the temp in F was 2012 degrees. Seeing aluminum boil and burst into flames was awesome. "Now that's hot"! Melts brass rapidly, magnesium to if you are into staring into the sun, and gold of course. Haven't tried silver yet but from what I've seen, I have no doubt it can do it.

The Vevor furnace has a fan for the internal electronics and wires, easy use. lid was tight,is still tight. It works. Built better. The red gloves are fake leather and melt quickly, protect hands only for a moment, crucibles are not graphite, a silvery color like lead . Easily rubs off on the hand as an unknown poison contaminant.

Item was very well packed in its box and came as described with all accessarys. After unpacking and checking the fit and finish. The finish was very good and only a slight adjustment to the rails to balance the friction on the slide. It operated smoothly and worked as required. Great seller with this type of seller.
