    Wonderful product, great features

    This Roku is our second one, so very easy to set up - just plug in HDMI cord to TV, plug Roku in to wall outlet, & presto it's all ready to set up your wired or wireless internet! 4K pictures come through perfectly, remote works from anywhere (do not need to point it at Roku to have it work). I recommend Roku to all my family & friends!

    roku isn't for everyone

    I personally don't like it. It needs to be able to be used with third party content providers like you can find online. But, I bought it for my aged mother who has to have a schedule on screen, I ended up having to sign up with a content provider. So, the whole idea of cord cutting is false your just getting a different type of service. It really isn't for her the remote needs bigger and different buttons, it would be nice to be able to turn it off when not in use. It would be great to be able to hook up the over the air antenna to go through it like a cable or satellite without having to change the TV input. If you have a smart TV and a cell phone you really don't need this thing at all.

    Works great, hoping for a couple new features

    This is a great little unit. I hope, down the line, that they'll incorporate tv listings that are more cable like, and the ability to set reminders. All things considered, I don't regret ditching cable. I'm paying half of what I did before. I'm able to get nearly all of what I watched before. Just make sure you have a fast enough internet (about 25 mbps to stream 4k). This unit performs flawlessly. Quite satisfied with my purchase. If you google this unit, you'll find more info and many "thumbs Up".

    Roku for You

    This is my 2nd Roku. My first purchase was dictated by needing a Roku to receive my Slingbox. At that time only Roku had the app. That said, I purchased my 2nd one for my home tv to relace an outdated one that came with a house purchase. There are many devices to stream tv and movies. The Roku works well and the particular feature that captivates me is the remote with earbuds. This allows me to watch programs at night without disturbing the house and at 68, dialogue is much easier to understand using the earbuds. Quick to set up and I only reboot it about once a year.

    Relax, take deep breaths, prior to setting up unit. Need to establish a ROKU account, not mentioned anywhere in documentation. Consistent of inputting your name, address & credit card info. Credit card is so you have ability to pay for any additional items. Examples include rental or purchasing movies; or other services requiring a payment. Includes ability to add personal PIN, thus providing ability to limit the use to owner and/or designee. Hadn't expected requirement to set-up, in retrospect, great feature. PIN deposit wasn't expected and reccomend Roku include explanation in directions. Otherwise, smooth with ease set-up.
