Maybe this nib is defective or maybe this 1.5 style stub nib just writes very differently from regular. Overall not great, get a safari or alstar or vista, way better.

Instead of opening the box, I contacted the seller and described this problem. Seller was very accommodating offered me a discount. I did wait to open the box and the ordered was correct but there was a missing piece, which was one of the reasons why I shipped back.
