      Cumbersome set up, but somehow it is act...

      Cumbersome set up, but somehow it is actually working now. It does things automatically , like showing battery state of charge, watts used, but the software display is not as useful as the Victron Solar controllers blue tooth software by showing daily kilo watt hours. Thanks though anywise. Something is better than nothing.

      For simplicity, I have migrated down to ...

      For simplicity, I have migrated down to the 300A VE Smart Shunt due to the lugs being 5/16 in side that fits my connections better. The 500A uses the 3/8 lugs for those higher amperage installations. The second battery monitoring or temp port always adds to the flexibility of the VE smart shunts.

      Good Shunt for lithium batteries.

      I purchased a cheap shunt to monitor my lithium battery. It uses battery voltage to gauge how much is left in the battery. That does not work well on lithium as the voltage changes very little from full charge to almost dead. This shunt counts coulombs in and out which is a much more accurate way to measure. The blue tooth pairing number is on a tag on the left side of the unit.
