      Baofeng BF-888S Walkie Talkies

      The radios are good and have a clear signal for all the distance I need them for. I use them over a fairly large area, maybe a half mile radius, and switch between channels to coordinate several different groups. The included headset with these works surprisingly well and is comfortable to wear most all day. I also purchased a set of acoustic tube type headsets for the few people who work in loud area and these worked great as well. The only complaint that I have is with the clip that comes with them. Admittedly, I was kind of rough with them attached to my belt but I did manage to break the clips clean off of two different radios. Not really room to complain on my part but I did hope they would have been stronger. The radios do work great and I was really impressed with the quality at ...

      great performance, but best to program them to good frequencies and best of all, cheap enough to be disposable if you lose track of them!!!!!

      I have bought over 40 of these, I use then for offroading events and long distance traveling convoys., they come programmed with junk frequencies, so order a programming cable, and use the freeware CHIRP program to load in better frequencies, set power levels and other optional settings. once you get one radio set up the way you want.. you can clone the rest in about 30 seconds each. they have great range and last a day with occasional use. These are so affordable, that I don't cry if a couple walk away in each event. these are simple to use too, no confusing keypads like the other Baeofeng models. they speak what channel they are on then you change the knob.
