The mic is very lightweight, and probably low quality (but I have a Shure SM58, non-counterfeit, to use with it). Using this only as a PA system for my flute, and as is mentioned in many reviews, the output is not really enough. I read the documentation, and have both the "mic input" level and the "main level" set to 30 (the max), and it is not very loud at all!

I definitely recommend buying this. It sounds good as hell. Looks good. It’s like a bookshelf speaker size wise. A tad bit bigger tho but easily around the size of a bookshelf speaker. I love it already just like the rest of my Ion products I’ve purchased over time
