Please it will be good if you could plant it deeper so that the base of the branches touch the mulch or better if it's below it as the base of the branches will eventually root out and that way your bush will survive the winter kill and ensure chicago peace bush stays intact and develops it's own root and doesn't remain dependant on the roots below the grafting node. Otherwise, sometimes undesired suckers shoot out and remain and the top growth dies.
