Another sleeper from CRKT
I just stumbled across these last year, and with my EDC tastes leaning more towards fixed blades these days I gave it a shot, first, I've always been a fan of the CRKT line up, I think their collaborative efforts with cutting edge knife makers and designers allows them to bring a lot of knife to the table,for not a lot of money. And this Burnley designed Obake is no exception, light, thin, razor sharp are what comes to mind with this one. Despite it's small size, the ergonomics are surprisingly good, the traditional katana type wrapping on the handle is extremely grippy. I didn't feel in fear of it slipping in my hand during use. This thing got sooo sharp I almost don't like handling it, it's scarry sharp.the sheath is a nicely done kydex type material, no clip of any kind provided, ... This thing got sooo sharp I almost don't like handling it, it's scarry sharp.the sheath is a nicely done kydex type material, no clip of any kind provided, instead it uses a lanyard to attach the sheath to the belt just behind the belt loop by looping the cord around the belt, the belt loop prevents it from sliding around your waist during the draw. You the tuck the whole affair into the waistband, when you draw the knife the sheath comes out the waistband and the knife pops out sheath, and the sheath is left hanging from your belt for easy retrieval. You'll have to work with the cord length, as everybody is built different. I installed a waistband clip on mine. Sheath retention is excellent,not too tight. I love this little guy, currently shopping for the red and black model now. If you get a chance to pick one up do your self a favor and grab it you won't regret it.

This is a very nice little knife ... inexpensive, yes, but well-made and designed, too. No, it's not the latest/greatest steel, but it's good enough for 90% of the tasks it's designed for. The stainless steel upswept belly and sharp tip is handy for little daily tasks and easily carried and accessed for those moments when you want to make the bad man stop bothering your. I like the handle very much, epoxy soaked cord wrapped around a fake stingray skin, looks like the real thing. No, it doesn't have a guard, but it don't need one, not if you know how to hold a knife. Try it if you don't believe me. HINT: not all knives have guards and they work just great! Oh, and the red faux rayskin adds a touch of class to the overall look. If I had a complaint it would be that there isn't a ... This is a very nice little knife ... inexpensive, yes, but well-made and designed, too. I bought one back in December and after receiving it in the mail and using it for a couple of weeks I had to buy another. I like the design, the handle is wrapped excellent and the sheath seems pretty tough and durable. Overall 5 outta 5 from me

Great knife
Perfect knife for defense. Very well made, great grip, and is compact. The only complaints that I have is that while it is very sharp out of the box it dulls super easily. The belt clip seems flimsy and is likely to break however the cord that wraps around your belt is very tough. The sheath is nice molded plastic but you will probably need 2 file it slightly so that the knife can be drawn easily. Despite its shortcomings this knife is perfect and is now a good part of my everyday carry.Perfect knife for defense. Very well made, great grip, and is compact.
