    Excellent router for standalone or AiMesh applications.

    I already had an RT-AC66U B1 (same router) and wanted to add another one or two to use the AiMesh feature to provide seamless coverage throughout our home so I ordered two of these refurbed AC1750 B1 routers. (NOTE: The same model numbers withOUT the 'B1' at the end will not do AiMesh!) The first thing I did was upgrade the firmware which the router does with just a couple of clicks. After the reboot I had the AiMesh option available and ran the Quick Start to select AiMesh node. Ran the Quick Startup on the original router and set it as AiMesh router, then clicked on search. The new router was discovered as a node and set up automatically. I moved it to another area of the house and now I have seamless coverage everywhere - I may not even need to install the other one I bought! As ...

    A good router.

    A solid and well built router. I haven't tried the AIMesh feature yet as I have only one unit so far. But everything else seems to work great. Note that only the front USB port is USB 3.0 speed. I initially plugged a drive into the rear port and got disappointing speeds on the shared files, but then I noticed the front USB port was blue and the rear is not. So I moved the drive to the front port and got much better transfer speeds.

    Seem to work great, but Aimesh node flaky

    I bought two of these to act as Aimesh nodes for a Aimesh router GT-AC2900. The devices seem to skip over these routers and prefer the 2900. These might be great as standalone routers, but not as mess nodes for a really good router.
