    Hard to tell if pieces fit together

    This is a wooden puzzle, but there are not so many piece shapes. Sometimes, something really seems to fit, but you have to look at the two pieces joined from the back to discover your error and see a minor variance. Also, the very shiny coating on the picture wants to peel up.
