I found they were very considerate with the wrapping, even placing packing filler inside all the nooks and crannies and individually wrapping removable parts.       This device was in excellent condition with what appears to be a “new” power supply (no batteries, but they’re not necessary for my needs). All my “Video 8” (not Hi 8) tapes rewound completely on the device without issues and were viewable on its tiny screen. I am awaiting an “S Type” connector to “USB C” adaptor sometime next month but hopefully All will transfer and easily import into FCP or Filmora without the need for additional software. Keeping my fingers crossed!

      sony handy cam

      I bought this product to replace the one I had before which had dropped and stopped working. It is the exact product so I bought it so that I could watch those old tapes from my previous sony hi 8 camera. The problem with this replacement one is that you have to hit it many times with the palm of your hand in order for it to play tapes. Once you smack it about five times it plays ok until another occasion when you go to view the tapes again.

      Excellent 8mm Recorder

      These camcorders were built to good quality, and this recent purchase was to replace an earlier model that failed after MANY years of service. If you want a cassette recorder, these are the best.
