The eco-nami "small with big sound"
This is the new sound decoder from SOUNDTRAXX. and their smallest. Because of the small size it fits in easily in most ho diesels and very small tenders. The sound is excellent with more effects then the small size would indicate. Because it is not a plug in some skill with a solder iron is required. The directions that come with the decoder do not list all the effects or the cv's and function controls so it is necessary to get the full manual from the SOUNDTRAXX web sight. The manual is quite long. The ECO-NAMI is available in steam, diesel or electric. In my opinion it is the best sound decoder available for the price.This is the new sound decoder from SOUNDTRAXX. and their smallest. Great price, lots of options (need to do a little work)
The price is right and the options on this decoder are many. I own three of these so far and will be buying more. UPDATE: February 2017 - I now have around 40 of these! (Like I said, I'll be buying more) 5 prime mover options - EMD 567(non-turbo), 645(turbo) and 710(turbo) - ALCO 244 and the FDL-16. These are not your grandfather's Tsunamis though. They are new decoders. Support for CVs 5 and 6 is now provided. CVs have been moved around and there is no reverb now. The full documentation is provided on Soundtraxx's web site. One really nice thing is that the decoder body is SMALL! It can fit in tight places where the standard Soundtraxx decoders can't. Be prepared for a little work installing it. It's not plugnplay. I've been soldering them into NMRA 8 pin plugs and installing them ... The price is right and the options on this decoder are many. I own three of these so far and will be buying more. The decoder comes with a card showing the pins and what wire needs to go where. It's also possible to directly wire it in an engine. Additionally, I've taken an 8 to 9 pin converter from Digitrax, cut the 9 pin plug off and soldered the wires to the remaining wires coming from the 8 pin plug. So, as you can see, there are options but just be prepared for a little work. With enough demand I think Soundtraxx may provide a standard plug option in the future. This is a good deal, a good price and good sound!!

Econami ECO-100 Diesel Sound Decoder
All the Sound features of a Tsunami, with updated motor control, and very small size. Five different prime mover sound sets cover a wide range of different locomotive types, but not all - no Alco 251 or EMD 645 non-turbo, for example.

One Of The Best Little Sound Decoders on the Market
This is about the 10th or 12th one of these that I have installed recently and I like everyone of them. The sound quality is excellent. There is enough control variables (CV's) to satisfy me. I like the horn and prime mover selections that are available. Highly recommend for the average installation.
