I'm thrilled with the lifeproof case for my iPhone 6. I'm a chef and my phone is often exposed to heat & moisture, spills and flour dust. It often falls on hard surfaces. The case is lightweight and doesn't add any bulk to the phone. Speakers & microphone all work without distortion and the case doesn't interfere with the camera at all--pictures are clear and true. I'm NOT thrilled with having to use the headphone adapter and am always afraid I will lose it, but I'm glad the cover to the headphone port has been re-designed (I had an earlier case for a iPhone 5) so that it stays attached to the phone. Could be better quality for the top half of the case, which is made of rubber that breaks and seals that wear out.
In the 3 1/2 yearws that I owned an Phone 5, I went through seven of these cases. In each case (no pun intended), the same problem would occur: the top half of the case would fail, the rubber cracking at the side "silence" switch, or the gasket around the front plastic would fail, or the home button plastic would brake. Very rarely would the back plastic (over the Apple logo) fail. because I bought these on eBay, where they are generally cheaper, I had a hard time getting LifeProof to honor their warranty, so I eventually bought a bunch ahead of time, so that I wouldn't be without some sort of protection. In most cases, I would just replace the front top piece, and save bottom half. That bottom half is more durable than the top half of the case. Because iPhone 5's are not being made ... Lifeproof FRE Waterproof Case for iPhone 6s
The Lifeproof FRE case is everything it is advertised to be. It provides ultimate protection. The two features that work for me are way it keeps my iPhone screen clean and free of dust, and the quality of the sound it produces, it's great.

I put it to the test
In early December in I was clearing a bunch of branches from my man made waterfall in Maine. As Murphys law would have it, I watched my Apple iPhone 5 drop out of my front left pocket and into a 2 foot deep by 3 foot wide stream of white water whooshing by. As much as I knew it was going to hurt I went and got a bathing suit and flip flops and proceeded to go in after it. That day I searched for about 45 minutes. That was all I could take because of water and air temps. The next day I resumed the search and in about 30 minutes I had it in hand. After getting it back in the house to warm up I dried the outside of the life proof case and opened the power door. The thing had spent 24 hours in very cold fast running water. I used to use the bigger bulky cases with tons of rubber (and not water proof) and they were hard to get in and out of my pocket, looked goofy, and the rubber on many I tried chunked apart pretty early on in use. I tried a lifeproof, haven't used anything since. I can use in pool no problem, works with most charged cables, and has a solid feel. And lifeproof sticks by their warranty. I had to swap a case that the material on the back had started separating at and it was a hassle free, quick process, they mailed me a brand new replacement and all I had to pay is 4 dollars shipping.
