      Great Sony radio - best on the market!

      This is an excellent radio! Made in Japan for the domestic market. No fancy features, doesn't even have a tone control, but you don't need one, because the sound is so good! Nothing like the multitude of tinny-sounding radios made in China! Solid and well-made, a great reminder of the excellent Japanese portable radios made by Sanyo, Toshiba and National Panasonic, back in the 60's and 70's. Well worth the money!

      Excellent Radio

      The Sony icf-801 is an excellent radio. I have nothing bad to say about it. The build quality is top-notch. I like how easy it is to read the dial, and that it has a button to light it up. The light will shut off automatically. The radio has a really nice sound to it. Radio comes with a monorural earphone and electrical cord, and 3 C- cell batteries. I have no problems with reception.I am very happy with my purchase of this radio.

      Definitely worth the price.

      Impeccable quality throughout. The sound quality and thoughtfulness of the design are good. Nothing superfluous, which is not necessary. It is surprising that still produce analog receivers of this quality.
