Up close, no one would mistake it for real. But, from across the room it provides a nice shape and color. It is difficult to open the 2 boxes, and it takes time to bend the branches and fluff the leaves. So, allow time. 2 leaves were detached in box. I purchased this because I missed the lights of the Christmas tree. I put the ficus in the same corner and will add just a few lights on a timer.
