End caps are ABS and not the heavy OEM versions but its trim and not structural. I reused the stock painted end caps when I repaired the grandson's Cherokee (first accident...blown air bags...exciting!) The bumper was primed for paint. I used automotive gray primer and dupli-color paint for a matching paint job. Came out excellent.
