    A good bargain for4 the casual user

    It is exactly what I expected for the money. It works great. As long as you're not planning on daily usage, it's the one to get. The plating on the tip chipped off during it's first use, so it no longer tins evenly. The tip is it's weak link though, and still a good deal for rare use (IE; Harbor freight-ish).

    Great product so far.

    UPDATE: 25JUL2017 - seems like a 1 and done product. Went to use it for the 2nd time, it started to hear up, took a very long time, then nothing. It simple appears to have stopped functioning. PREV - Just arrived yesterday and put it use today soldering a lead stud back onto a battery that split into 2 peices. Worked flawlessly. Did the job I expected, easily. I do not plan on using this item routinely, professional, etc. Just a few times a year. Perfect buy. And another tool in the workshop.
