    Updated replacement for the power supply in my 55” Samsung TV...

    When my Samsung TV started making a clicking sound and wouldn’t turn on, I traced it down to a failed power supply....apparently it’s a common failure mode. The choice was to either track down and replace the failed component (most likely an electrolytic capacitor) or swap out the board. For simplicity’s sake, I choose the latter path. The board in my TV was labeled release. 1.1. This one is 1.3. There may be other changes, but some of the capacitors are different colors compared to the original. Installation was easy. The connectors were exactly the same and it was a matter of unscrewing the broken one and installing the replacement. Absolutely no complaints. The TV is working perfectly again. :-)
