    A uniquely late night wireless tv solution

    Have search and tried many Bluetooth headsets for late night TV viewing. None were as easy to set up & use as Sennheiser Flex 5000 Wireless Headphone. Unfortunately, the rechargeable battery for the wireless remote receiver is not easily changed when it no longer holds a charge and so far, I cannot find an authorized agency to make the repair. Since Sennheiser in its infinite wisdom seems to have discontinued this model, I bought a replacement before they vanished.

    Unique, practical and affordable solution to a common problem

    This unique product just makes sense. Being able to bring your own headphones or earbuds or whatever is so much better than having the receiver built into a specific headphone. (I also own the Sennheiser RS-195 Headphone transmitter receiver). This way of earbuds are more comfortable you can use those, or if you have a set of headphones that you like you can use those. The quality is great and the ability to select from different sound profiles, including one that emphasizes dialogue, is nice too. Although I have never liked any setting but one for either system. I wish that the receiver used standard AA or AAA batteries so that i could easily replace them when the battery pack wears out (the RS-195 system does use standard batteies, which can be rechargables.)     Gives flexibility to private listeners

    I already had top of the line headsets , so needed a transmitter with a long battery life. Also I wanted to use it with the headphone jack on my receiver. This set up shuts my main speakers off while using headphone jack. The unit has a distortion compensation so even at high volume, the unit plays quietly. Now with the flex I can walk around the room with no wires impeading me and also not disturb the others in the house. Recommend over having to use provided headsets.

    Fantastic product

    I am now able to hear television shows without disturbing others. This is a great product for my application and the sound is fantastic. I can walk anywhere in the house and hear the television clearly. I would purchase this again if the need arises.

    Perfect for isolated sound from TV

    The Flex 5000 is fantastic as this allows the user to pick out what ever headphones they want to use. Keep in mind that the headphones need to be wired not wireless. Many wireless headphones allow you to use a wire as well. By using a high quality headphone the sound quality is tremendous. I have a supplemental receiver which allows someone else listen as well an each controls their own volume. The other good aspect about these as opposed to others I looked at is that the sound feed into the base can be either optical or wired.
