If you have trouble understanding instructions, and don't have a working knowledge of HAM radio operations, you'll probably pull your hair out trying to program it. If you want a weather radio and FM broadcast radio, you'll be fine because with the push of a button, these are accessible with, but shortwave, police, EMS, Fire and HAM repeaters must be programmed manually. The booklet's kind of vague as well.
