        good but

        this is an overly complicated camera with an instruction book about the size of a small telephone book! On the other hand it takes excellent pictures. My criticisms are a small electronic viewfinder, a not movable rear screen and the fact that it is delicate. There are warnings not to use in high humid and or dusty/sandy locations. I also have an original Sony RX100 which is a brute and can be used anywhere and is also much less complicated but lacks a viewfinder. In addition this camera has an amazing zoom lens the equivalent of a 25 to 250 mm zoom and the picture quality is excellent through out the full range. It is a bit larger and heavier than the Sony and considerably less expensive. Would I buy again? I don't know. As a travel camera, I use wide angle rather than telephoto, I like ...

        zs100, a good pocket camcorder instead of camera.

        it is too complicated to read the manual and so far I have not got the ideal what should I use to shoot a good picture. it is not good at low lighting situation, 4K shoot is good but i does not come out the single picture. whatever, it should be a good pocket camera for travel.

        You get what you pay for

        I'm not rich, so i've been searching for , and dealing with (compromising) cameras for around $200 for most of my life. Couldn't ever save up enough for a really good camera. I still could never afford a $1000 or $2000 camera, but was thrilled when the ZS100's started selling for under $600. There are way too many compromises in most every compact camera on the market. Anything with a large sensor has a very narrow range to the lens, like 2x or 3x. All the super zooms have smaller sensors or lower quality optics. Cameras with a decent combination of features are way out of my price range. This ZS100 is finally a really good combination of size, lightweight, lens capacity, image quality due to Large sensor, all combined in a great package. So glad i found it and bought it online.

        Excellent travel camera with good balance of portability and image quality.

        Small form factor travel camera that packs powerful photo and video feature and produces excellent results from 1" sensor when settings are optimized. Good post-processing produces high quality images equal to APS-C cameras. Pocketable and inconspicuous. Touch screen is easy to use and unlocks settings and features quickly. Snappy focus and accurate exposure. Stabilization is good and zoom factor adequate for 98% of typical shots. OK but not great eye piece with decent brightness. 4K Post focus and burst shooting are standout features, and video is very good overall. Layout is tight so not recommended for shooters with big hands.

        This is an excellent point and shoot camera with very good image quality, a good sized zoom lens, great image stabilization, a usable view finder, an excellent high resolution touchscreen, and it's very easy to use while also offering complete manual controls. It also shoots great 4K video
