      Canon Control Ring Mount adapter EF-EOS R

      This control ring feature is a useful addition when compared to the base model. By utilizing the R camera’s Menu - Customize Dials option, the user can program the dial to do exposure compensation, or change shutter speed, or change aperture, or set ISO, or change AF method, or change picture type, or change white balance, or change color temperature.

      Works extremely well. Using this converter on R cameras allows EF lenses focus just as quickly as direct fit to EOS cameras. Retaining stabilisation and Exif information. Control ring useful for customising R camera controls to your own preferences. Usual Canon solid build quality .

      Canon R Control Ring Mount Adapter Helps in Simplifying Workflow

      I use both the Control Ring Mount Adapter as well as the regular EF-EOS R Adapter, and I am very happy with both. However, the former is a real help in further refining and simplifying my workflow because I use the ring to control ISO. It's great to have at my fingertips an immediate way to adjust ISO rather than changing the setting in the camera's menu. Now I can control everything using three dials: shutter speed with the camera's top/front dial, aperture with the rear dial, and ISO with the control ring.

      Canon EF-RF Lens Adapter

      The EF-EOS R Control Ring adapter works perfectly for using my EF lenses on my new R5 camera. I have had no issues. The fact that I can program the ring to my working style is very helpful. My EF lenses actually work better on this camera with the adapter.

      Go for the basic mount

      I bought this controller to go with my new 5R. It works as described, but, after using the the 5R for a few days, I found little need for the control ring. All functions that can be programmed into the ring are readily available on the camera control buttons and knobs. Maybe I will change my mind in the future, but, I do just fine using my ef lens on the basic mount at less than half what I paid fir this one. Great build, but, overpriced.
