This device has a combinable readout panel and a super speed measurement with high accuracy. The digital readout is used for inch, metric and fraction reading with a remote. It has a USB cable port and can be connected to a computer via CNC software.

    Works great

    I’m installing this on my 7x12 mini lathe cross slide. Nice large display. Easy mounting. I like the choice of running on batteries or wall wort power supply. There are less expensive dro’s, but I opted for this one because of the many advantages.

    Disappointing accuracy

    This DRO is a nice looking piece but is not accurate when challenged by a dial indicator or the tool dials say on a lathe or mill. I have had much better luck with other import DRO's Very disappointed! DRO is consistently inaccurate. I have read other negative reviews with similar complaints. I experienced the the slide moving up to .006" before the readout begins to respond. Movement to .020" results in reading of .017, then movement to .050" results in a readout of .034". Returning back to the .000" mark does not always result in actual zero. While the error is often repeatable in one direction, the return back, results in different errors. This DRO is always in error. The DRO might be acceptable for wood working but not for metal working machines. To put it simply, if you ...

    Cool Gauge

    Takes a little bit of ingenuity to figure out how to connect it to your planer. Once you do, it's amazing how more reliable your planer can become. As always, Taylor Toolworks is a great company to buy from.

    Tell it as it is.

    Works well, easy installation. Wish it had a function for turning off the time-out default. After about 30 seconds it shuts itself off and you have to turn it on manually again.
