The strings were picking up stray electrical signals and the hum would go away when I put the palm of my hand across them (I was acting as the earth). I wrapped the earth wires, inside the body, with this copper tape and put a layer underneath the pickups and over the wood that supported the four pots -- effectively 'shielding' all the electrical components. FIXED THE HUM!!! Goods arrived in a nice brown padded envelope, and on time!
