I found it easy to apply mostly because they include a cutter and a simple felt-edged scraper type tool so that you can put pressure on while laying it down. Without care and pressure, you'll get air bubbles. The adhesion seems pretty good, but only time will tell. The carbon fiber texture is beautiful.
