      Light weight and compact

      With two cups of cold water and one fuel cube would not get it to boil only steam after 12 min. I bought a $2 aluminum cooking pan from the grocery store and cut it to go around the stove with a breather cap. With this setup cold water boiled in 8 min and had some fuel left over. I also cut out small tin foil and placed in fuel tray to keep it clean and easy to pull out if fuel tablet is not completely used. The fuel tablet will leave a sticky residue on the bottom on the pan.

      I use it often and like it..

      It's an excellent well thought out little stove. For me I use 1 cube to boil 1 and 3/4 cups of water with a titanium foil wind block in about10 minutes. I'll even boil a little over a cup of diced potatoes in the time it takes a cube to burn. I now use Expedition research cubes that seem to burn hotter vs the Esbit fuel. I use it mainly for bikepacking and has worked fine. Does hexamine smell? Yes, but it really doesn't bother me. The biggest thing is learning its capability.

      Great for light weight warming

      It works fine and is quite simple and light in weight. I don't use this to boil water but just to warm food up. It might work nicely with an aluminum can alcohol stove alternatively. If you want quick boils, have lots to cook, you may want to focus more on white gas, propane or butane as they have higher heat outputs. You can double up the fuel tabs to boil water but it still takes more time-especially in cold and windy weather.

      Great item and a good value

      This is a good, simple stove for backpacking or motorcycle camping. Light and suitably durable for use on the trail or on the road. Esbit fuel is reliable, light, safe, and doesn't require a bulky fuel bottle.
