Piledriver has a large instruction window with two ISA extensions: F16C and FMA3. It has a precise branch predictor and an enhanced scheduler in the execution units so that it processes individual instructions quickly. The performance levels and energy efficiency of the AMD FX-6350 are enhanced by both the Bulldozer and the Piledriver architectures. The six-core CPU AMD FX-6350 processor with Socket AM3+ and integrated Wraith Cooler is fully unlocked. This unlocked clock multiplier provides more headroom for an incredible over-clocking capability. The AMD OverDrive software is easy to use and provides you with performance and power that is highly configurable. The 32-nanometer Vishera 125W die shrink manufacturing tech improves efficiency by reducing leakage, producing enhanced thermals, and increasing the clock rate headroom. The AMD FX-6350 processor with 3.9GHz operating frequency is equipped with AMD Turbo Core technology, which boosts performance. By pushing the CPU core frequencies to their maximum level when needed the most, the AMD Turbo Core technology is able to boost the performance of applications you are using on your computer. System bottlenecks are reduced by the HyperTransport Technology (HTT), which is a low-latency, high-speed point-to-point link. This allows the microprocessor to utilize the system memory in a more efficient manner within a high-end multiprocessor system by reducing the number of buses in the system. A low-latency and high-bandwidth integrated memory controller is a feature of the AMD FX Vishera CPU processor.     Workss as advertised.

    The unit was received quickly (about 3 days from order. It was economically but securely packed. I promtly bent a couple of pins and spent about an hour getting everything straight again. It then installed easily. Fastened on a cooler master Heat sink and was in gear and turning, It is currently running on an AsRock board with an AMD R9 380 Video card. I have not really stressed it yet so I can't vouch for this particular unit, but I have a FX6300 OC to 4.1gh. that is doing just fine. Yes I would love to have a spiffy Intel i7 CPU but this rig is doing OK for $200 to $300 less then the lowest price I5 and I7 I have seen.

    AMD 6350 nice cpu

    Why spend hundreds more for a sec pr so faster, important for drag racing, but not for a computer, I build computers and repair them on the side and I love fast pc's, but don't see the need to spend 500 or so dollars for that extra sec.
