    Very nice and reasonably priced, probably best used in a single environment like by your easy chair to be close at hand. A bit heavy to tote around, but that's what makes it stable. I put a rubber O ring to cushion the flute as it goes on the peg. Good for both clarinet and flute.

    Life Saver

    I have two Hall Crystal flutes, which as you can imagine by the name they are made of crystal glass. These instruments are very delicate as are many Concert flutes, clarinets, etc. This product the "Titan Stand" is a life saver for that delicate and beloved instrument you posses. It is so detrimental to lay an instrument down with all of it delicate parts that can be damaged. This stand will make access to your instrument so easy when practicing or playing and will keep it safe for falling, or other damage that can occur if it is not properly secured. Once you are finished playing you can either leave the instrument on the stand with confidence or your as I do, secure it in it case until next use.     Spend the money

    This is a prudent investment for the care of your instrument if you play in a band/orchestra setting. It's heavy weighted base is much more stable that the standard tripod stands. I have seen concert blacks catch a leg of a tripod stand and send a thousand dollar instrument careening across the floor. Protect yourself. Yes, it is more expensive and heavier than a tripod stand, but it is well worth the additional $2-3. This stand is easy assembly and packs flat in your accessory bag. The slim diameter of the wooden stem is a good fit for slutes, clarinets and oboes; it might be too large for a piccolo. The peg is also belled to keep the base of the stand from coming into contact with your instrument. This is a professional quality accessory and you won't be disappointed.

    great concert flute stand

    Not the most portable, but the heavy cast iron base is why I bought it. Brushing a leg on one of the fold-up stands can knock over a $6000 flute. Not a thing to do. Plastic peg won't harm flute. Foam padding strips on the cone protect the inside of a clarinet bell.

    Outstanding clarinet stand. Solid, secure, safe, provides air circulation.

    Simple design, outstanding product. Heavy base gives secure foundation for clarinet stand. Center pole the right diameter; does not interfere with interior of clarinet. Cone between base and center pole has soft padding with separations to allow air to circulate into clarinet and dry it. Designed for a studio; not intended for frequent travel.
