      King of the 89

      This razor is the king of the 89 head design. It is the highest quality at this price point. You can find cheaper but you loose quality. You can spend more money but then don't get any better quality for a plated razor head. So it has great quality, tight tolerances, and it is not very aggressive. You can always put a bigger heavier handle on it if you wish to customize it. Love mine

      jagger razor

      High quality, good weight and gives a great shave. I went back to a double edge razor after many years of using Norelco electrics. I first tried one of my Dad's old shick adjustable safety razors. It was horrible on any setting ( no wonder I went electric in my early twenties). This Edwin Jagger is great. Gives a good shave and no burning. I also recommend using Feather brand blades.

      This razor is smooth, compact, and very well balanced. A textured surface handle would make it a bit easier to grip while shaving, but the smooth non textured handle was much easier to use than I anticipated.

      Highly Recommended

      I had one of and eventually broke it dropping it in the shower. I replaced it with a Mercur and was never satisfied. It has to do with the blade angle. Edwin Jagger really hugs you face with no pressing. They are truly amazing, especially for the price. The faux ebony handle is much less slippery than my previous stainless model so no more dropping. I use Feather brand blades which are a perfect match for the smoothest shave you'll ever get, period. If you have considered switching from disposables; please do yourself the favor of considering this review. I switched a few years back and have saved $100.s of dollars, never cut myself once.       My First safety razor.

      This was my first safety razor. It's a solid product that it's job of cutting my facial hair very well. It came with a supply of 5 razors. I think this has been easier on skin than modern 4/5 bladed razors. It seems like a nice beginning to my use of safety razors.
