Le present document retrace d'une part une analyse des determinants de cette baisse et d'autre part les pratiques et strategies de gestion des ressources halieutiques pour le maintien d'un equilibre ecologique viable en vue d'une exploitation durable des ressources halieutiques des pecheries. Des recommandations ont ete proposees dans le document pour permettre une gestion et co-gestion durables des ressources halieutiques par les parties prenantes du secteur de la peche. Malgre ces dispositions pour freiner la baisse croissante des ressources halieutiques, la pratique de la peche artisanale est-elle economiquement rentable pour les populations riveraines dont la peche represente leur principale source de revenus?
