      The sound improved significantly compare to stocked fender pickups.

      I purchased these pickups to modify my Squier precision bass. The installation was very easy, i also added aluminum foil, custom protection plate and black knobs. The sound improved significantly compare to stocked fender pickups. Cheap bass sounds like professional instrument now and I like how EMG HZ pickups look on my bass. Worth every penny!       New Personality-Different but Good

      I have not tried these pups in a band setting yet but they have a warm balanced tone that is different than Fender but still musical. A sweetness of sound with apparent high mids that seem to cut through and work with my "band in a box" tunes, not to mention giving you a "growl" that traditional Fender PJ styles do not have. And oh yeah, the E string does not overpower the others in terms of volume like trad. P an J do. I suppose one could call these "modern" sounding. I'm happy with them replacing Fender sounding pickups on my fretless bass.

      EMG's are one of the best

      These are a great upgrade to any passive P/J bass. The great tone and ease of install EMG is famous for in an affordable package. Pull your old pick ups and drop these in. They are plug and play in the truest sense, no soldiering required.

      Great pickups

      Put these on a bass given to me. Installation was simple(solder less system). Sound improved, old pickups gave off a weird thud. Everything was included in this kit, pots wires and jack.
