    50 years in the making.

    It’s a cool ship, even if your not familiar with G-force. (or the ultra violent Japanese Garchaman version of the show) It was was a super easy and fun build. Although the original ship was a hand drawn cartoon, Academy’s 3d version has been translated very well and is everything you would expect a “realistic” model of the Phoenix would be.

    Outstanding Kit With Excellent Parts Fit

    This is an excellent, mostly no-paint kit with incredibly well-fitting parts. A half-dozen different color-molded parts sets save you from what would otherwise be very detailed painting. Parts fit is the best I’ve ever seen, almost seamless in a few spots. The smaller individual vehicles will need painting, however, and I was slightly disappointed here. However, the main Phoenix with a multitude of different parts options still scores a full five stars. Highly recommended for any G-Force or Gatchaman fan.

    The Phoenix from Academy

    An excellent interpretation of the Phoenix from Battle of the planets. The snap together assembly allows you to carefully change out the many options that are available multiple times. I highly enjoyed the assembly and the molded in color made for a fantastic look without any paint.
